Rebecca Reedy is a seasoned hairstylist currently on the West Coast. She has worked extensively as a freelance instructor, stylist, makeup artist and behind the chair in major cities for the past 28 years. Rebecca has been an leading artist and educator in hair shows and photoshoots throught out the country. Her work has been published widely. She is currently living and working in Northern California.
Begining her career in Michigan at 15, she traveled west to train with Christopher Brooker, partner and ledgendary art director of Vidal Sassoon, 1984-86 in San Francscisco. In 1986, she relocated to Chicago where she became a member of the Vidal Sassoon artistic team, training apprentices and becoming involved on photo-shoots and trade shows, performing as a platform artist. In 1988 she began teaching at prestigious, Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, Ca. Literally on stage every day, and hands on training every afternoon. Sharing knowledge with the strongest stylists in the business was natural for her.
Rebecca was invited to the Long Beach Hair Show as an on stage artist, the Global Hair Show in New Orleans, The Midwest Hair Show and the Boston hair show with Joico. Rebecca also coordinated runway hair for St. John in Hawaii and Los Angeles.
After years of success and growth, she returned to the bay area working in exclusive salons such as Roy Salon in SF., DiPietro Todd Salon, S.F. and Mill Valley, Ca. , Cooper Alley Salon in Larkspur, and was co-founder of Siren Salon in Marin County. Constantly keeping inspiration and her skills sharp, styling for weddings, photoshoots, teaching, developing education, runway and working behind the chair, Rebecca is a wealth of knowledge for professionals as well as the public.
She is passionate and dedicated to Locks of Love, the Asian Womens Shelter, Luna kids Dance, Breast Cancer, Childrens education, Hair for Oil Spills, and general community needs.
